"japan made two other attempts to attack the marines, one was within 100 meters of Henderson airfield"(chris trueman)."kawaguchi lost 1,200 men was killed or wounded". the marines had 446 men killed or wounded. the defensive zone on october 23, thousands of japanese soliders struck U.S position."october 23 thousands of japanese launched major aggression from the south"(chris trueman). on november 4, 1942 thousands japanese troops landed on the beach of koli point, where they were met and fought by the U.S infantry men.
