D_Day

June 14 changed wwii, this was a day that will ever be remember. Ships, tanks, plans, and nearly 3.5 million soldiers were awaiting further orders to engaged in battle. Germany was aware allies would attack but couldn't pin point were. A clever General Dwight set up a "huge dummy army with its own headquarters and equipment". The invasion was called Operation Overload and was the greatest land and sea attack in history.
Germans were holding the Allies back for 60 miles using machine guns and cannons. Though they were having trouble on the ground with the soldiers ad the weather two brave pilot were launching an air strike. August 15 Allies marched triumphantly into paris having liberated many countries in the Netherlands. millions of men had gone through many truaning. The Battle og Alantic was won and production was no longer a problem.
