The declaration by Japan on Britain 1941, Auchinleck was forced to transfer some of his forces east for the defense of Burma and India. Auchinleck fell Rommel lead a major attack that took Britain spot in the Western Desert and pushed them deep into the Egypt. Auchinleck was assinated in honor of General Harold Alexander.

They belived that an invasion would cause Hilter to send out his troops. Operation Torch was in effect of North Africa November 1942 107,000 landed in Casablanca oran and Algeirs in BNOrth Africa. Afica Korps surrendered on May 1943.
